The team of Prof. Yoichi Murakami (Dept. of Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering, Laboratory for Zero-Carbon Energy) was chosen as the winner of Materials Horizons Outstanding Paper Runner-up Award 2021.
This Award has been endowed for the original article (DOI: 10.1039/D1MH01542G) published from Materials Horizons (Royal Society of Chemistry, IF: 13.266) by the team last December. This Award was selected by the journal's editorial and advisory board members based on the science presented and its potential future impact, as described in the Editorial (PDF) released for the announcement of this Award.
The developed technology recognized by this Award was collaboratory explored with industry (news release from Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., in Japanese), which can enhance the light utilization efficiencies in broad range of photo-energy conversion applications including photocatalysts used for artificial photosynthesis.
