Yuta Takahashi (Space-Structural Dynamics Design Laboratory (Hiraku Sakamoto Lab.), Ph.D. student) received the Best Student Paper Finalist Award at American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) SciTech Forum 2025 / Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Conference—the world’s largest aerospace conference—held in Orlando, Florida, USA, from January 6 to 10, 2025.

His paper "Distance-based Relative Orbital Transition for Palm-Sized Satellite Swarm with Guaranteed Escape-Avoidance," submitted to the “Distributed, Cooperative, and Multi-Vehicle Guidance, Navigation, and Control” category, passed two rounds of full-paper reviews and was selected for the GN&C Graduate Student Paper Competition. Six finalists presented their work at the conference, and each was honored with the Best Student Paper Finalist Award, along with a $500 prize and other recognitions.
