Assistant Prof. Wataru Umishio awarded the Housing Foundation Prize for Doctoral Thesis of JUSOKEN

Assistant Professor Wataru Umishio was awarded the Housing Foundation Prize for Doctoral Thesis 2021 by the JUSOKEN* for his doctoral thesis entitled "Intervention Study of Home Insulation Retrofit and Blood Pressure for the Prevention of Cardiovascular Diseases."

The prize ceremony and the commemorative lecture meeting will take place on July 1 at Online(Zoom).

 About the Housing Foundation Prize for Doctoral Thesis

The selection criteria are papers that contribute to the improvement of housing life and fall under one or more of the following.

  1. 1)Research with public interest and high social demand
  2. 2)Research that has foresight and originality and is expected to develop in the future
  3. 3)Research that can be expected to contribute to the improvement of social practicality
  4. 4)Research by young researchers and practitioners who are expected to grow in the future
  1. JUSOKEN is a foundation established in 1948 by the former President of Shimizu Corporation, Yasuo Shimizu, to solve the difficult housing problems after the war. Currently, they are working to promote comprehensive research/practice and human resource development, and to contribute to the improvement of housing life by returning the results to society.
